Debriefing is the deliberate process of unpacking and processing your past field experiences with a facilitator for the purpose of understanding your story in a holistic and life-giving way so that you can transition well into whatever is next. Debriefing is not a substitute for counseling, clinical care, spiritual direction, or coaching, but may serve as an entry point into these avenues for growth and/or healing. While this retreat experience includes some elements of debriefing, it is not meant to take the place of stateside debriefing if you are making a major transition off the field or to a new field.
-
This retreat is for you if you are a cross-cultural worker in any season of life or ministry. We recommend time away to rest and reflect as a regular rhythm of spiritual health and vitality for you and your family members. It’s an investment in the long-term health and effectiveness of you, your family, your team, and the people you serve. This retreat experience is not meant to replace stateside debriefing for those making major transitions back to the states or to a new field.
